2nd BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meets in Hyderabad — Asset Recovery, FinTech Risks

India's Department of Personnel and Training hosted the 2nd BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting and 2nd Meeting of the BRICS Expert Network on Asset Recovery in Hyderabad on August 4–5, 2026, the final anti-corruption gathering under India's 2026 BRICS Presidency. About 40 delegates from the 10 member states discussed tracing fugitive offenders and extradition in corruption cases, information-sharing through the Expert Network on Asset Recovery, and corruption risks from fintech and digital assets. Rachna Shah, Secretary of India's Department of Personnel and Training, inaugurated the meeting.
