YPFB Rules Out Gasoline Price Hike, Warns Against Speculation

State oil company YPFB said the elimination of the diesel subsidy under Decree 5716 does not affect gasoline, which remains at its regular commercial price of Bs. 6.96/liter, and guaranteed continued production, distribution and sale of gasoline for private, public and industrial vehicles. YPFB asked the public not to fall for speculation or misinformation that could cause unnecessary crowding at filling stations, after diesel's price jumped 83% to Bs. 17.95/liter over the weekend.
