Two More Detained Over Beller Shooting; Ex-Military Officer Held in Related Enrichment Case

| Bolivia Crisis

A Santa Cruz judge ordered 120 days of preventive detention for Roger A.C. (41) and Paola Andrea V. (39) for "effective complicity in attempted" form, accused of providing and concealing the firearm used against Nadia Beller on Aug 17; the two hired gunmen who fired the shots remain at large. Separately, in La Paz, prosecutors detained Fritz Junior G.A., a former military officer, for 45 days in an illicit-enrichment investigation tied to business dealings attributed to Fernando Cerimedo; security footage showed him fleeing an exchange house where he held legal authority carrying a bag authorities suspect held more than $500,000. It brought to three the number of people detained across the Cerimedo-linked cases, plus Cerimedo himself.

Two more suspects were ordered detained in the Beller shooting case, and a third in a related enrichment probe, Aug 26, 2026.
