Beller Discharged From Hospital; Prosecutors Order Protection Measures

Nadia Beller was discharged from Clínica Las Américas in Santa Cruz after five days of hospitalization for three gunshot wounds, leaving in a wheelchair under police custody. Prosecutor Yolanda Aguilera said the Public Ministry ordered formal protection measures for Beller and that she must give an expanded statement once her health allows, beyond the initial psychologically-supported declaration already taken. "Mi vida sigue en riesgo" ("My life remains at risk"), Beller said on leaving the clinic.
