Bolivia Floats Currency After 15-Year USD Peg

The Central Bank of Bolivia allowed the boliviano to float freely after 15 years pegged to the US dollar. The rate immediately dropped from Bs. 9.73 to Bs. 10.75 per dollar, a formal acknowledgment of the currency's de facto black-market devaluation during the crisis.
