Artemis III Orion Crew and Service Modules Joined at Kennedy Space Center
Technicians joined the Orion crew module and service module for Artemis III on July 30, 2026, inside the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building. The crew module will carry astronauts Randy Bresnik, Andre Douglas, Frank Rubio, and ESA's Luca Parmitano; the European-built service module reuses more than 250 components from the Artemis II capsule. NASA said the combined spacecraft will next be powered on for the first time.
