Artemis II Crew Returns to Houston — JSC Homecoming Ceremony

| Artemis II

The four-person Artemis II crew flew to Ellington Field at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston on April 11, greeted by hundreds of employees, military officers, and the full astronaut corps. Commander Reid Wiseman: 'We are bonded forever — no one down here is ever going to know what the four of us just went through.' Victor Glover: 'I have not processed what we just did and I'm afraid to start even trying.' Christina Koch: 'Earth was just this lifeboat hanging undisturbedly in the universe.' Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen spoke of the mission belonging to all humanity. The crew began post-flight medical reconditioning at JSC. Orion was secured aboard the USS John P. Murtha for transport to Naval Base San Diego, then Kennedy Space Center, for a 30-day post-flight inspection.
