Suspected Drone Strike Kills 4 Laborers Near Mastung; Two More Bodies Found Shot
Four laborers — Gul Khan Mugheri, Jehanzeb Abro, Ubaidullah Abro, and Imran Abro — were killed near the Anjiri area of Khadkocha, Mastung district, Balochistan, on the morning of August 22, 2026, in what survivors described as a drone or aerial projectile strike. Survivor Naseebullah Abro told reporters 'a projectile fell from the sky above us, and an explosion immediately occurred.' Police said the exact nature of the strike remained under investigation and did not confirm the drone attribution. Separately, two more bodies — unidentified at the time of reporting — were found shot dead in the nearby Garo area. The killings came the same week Pakistani security forces announced 37 Fitna al-Hindustan (Baloch separatist) militants killed in operations across Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur.
