Seven TTP Militants Killed in Intelligence-Based Operation in Balochistan's Kharan

Pakistani security forces killed seven Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (Fitna al-Khawarij) militants in an intelligence-based operation in the Lajay area of Kharan district, Balochistan, conducted under the 'Radd-ul-Fitna 3' campaign. Officials said the militants were allegedly involved in extortion, kidnappings for ransom, targeted killings and planning suicide attacks in and around Kharan. Security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, military equipment, two vehicles and a motorcycle, and destroyed the hideout. President Asif Ali Zardari called the operation a significant achievement for counterterrorism efforts.
