Pakistan Resumes Op Ghazab Cross-Border Strikes After 35-Day Pause — Khost, Kunar, Paktika

Pakistan conducted its first confirmed Operation Ghazab lil-Haq cross-border strikes since the May 5 Dangam (Kunar) strike, hitting targets in Khost, Kunar, and Paktika provinces on the night of June 9-10 in direct response to the June 9 Musa Dara FC-post attack that killed 6 personnel. Pakistan's Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said the strikes killed 26 TTP-linked militants and destroyed four targets, including a training centre, a hideout, an ammunition cache, and sites linked to TTP commanders Aleem Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Jani Khel. Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said 13 people were killed — 11 children, one woman, one elderly man — and 14 wounded. This ends the 35-day operational pause and reopens the cross-border strike phase of the conflict after the extended de-escalation period noted through Day 102 (June 7).
