Pakistan Formally Announces Resumption of Operation Ghazab-il-Haq
Pakistan's Foreign Office issued an official statement on March 31 formally announcing the full resumption of Operation Ghazab-il-Haq, declaring the operation would continue 'until its objectives are achieved.' The statement described the campaign as a 'precise, targeted operation' against Taliban military leadership, command infrastructure, logistics networks, and facilitators of terrorist activities. Pakistan's military conducted strikes across Nangarhar, Paktia, Kunar, and Khost provinces throughout the day. The declaration came six days after the Eid ceasefire collapsed and marked a formal return to full-intensity operations after the pause. Pakistan's spokesperson said the military had been 'patient' during the ceasefire period but that Taliban forces continued to provide sanctuary to TTP militants — the core justification for the operation — making resumption necessary.
