PAF Strikes 41 Afghan Locations Including Brigade HQs in Nangarhar and Kandahar
Pakistani Air Force jets struck 41 locations across Afghanistan on March 30, targeting brigade and battalion headquarters in Nangarhar province and an army headquarters in Kandahar province. Heavy artillery exchanges resumed along the Kunar-Bajaur border with both Afghan and Pakistani forces firing across the Durand Line. Afghanistan's deputy spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat confirmed Pakistan's shelling killed at least 1 person and wounded 16 others, predominantly women and children, in Kunar province. Pakistan denied deliberately targeting civilians, asserting its strikes were directed at Taliban military infrastructure and in response to cross-border Afghan fire. Modern Diplomacy noted the escalating strikes were complicating Pakistan's attempts to play a mediating role in US-Iran diplomatic overtures.
