Pakistan Formally Announces Resumption of Operation Ghazab-il-Haq
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi formally announced at the weekly press briefing that Operation Ghazab-il-Haq had resumed in full following the Eid ceasefire's expiry. Andrabi stated operations 'would continue until the objectives are achieved, and until the Afghan Taliban administration reviewed its misplaced priority of supporting terrorist infrastructure.' Pakistan's stated operational objectives remained unchanged: the elimination of TTP and other militant infrastructure on Afghan soil and the cessation of cross-border attacks against Pakistan. The Pakistani military continued artillery and air operations in Kunar, Khost, Paktika, and Nangarhar provinces. Afghan Taliban defense officials vowed to respond to every Pakistani incursion.
