US Kills al-Qaeda Chief Zawahiri in Kabul Drone Strike

A CIA drone strike kills al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri on a balcony of his Kabul safehouse in the upscale Sherpur neighborhood. Zawahiri, who helped plan 9/11, was living in a house belonging to a Haqqani Network leader. The strike demonstrates continued US over-the-horizon capability.
