Norway FA Chief Klaveness Calls for Infantino's Resignation as FIFA Crisis Deepens
Norwegian Football Federation president Lise Klaveness called for Gianni Infantino to resign, saying 'there is no trust in Infantino now' and 'the trust is now gone for us, there is no way back for Infantino.' Klaveness said the FIFA president 'does not have the institutional trust required to govern FIFA stably in the times we are in.' Her comments came days after FIFA's crisis meeting and apology failed to satisfy critics; UEFA said the conditions for lifting its threatened boycott of FIFA competitions had not been met. FIFA responded by decrying what it called a 'concerted and ongoing effort' to undermine Infantino, saying member associations that lack support 'should not seek to achieve through allegation... what they cannot achieve through FIFA's established democratic processes.'
