TelevisaUnivision & Fútbol de Primera Announce Exclusive Spanish-Language Radio Partnership for World Cup 2026
TelevisaUnivision and Fútbol de Primera announced on May 8 an exclusive Spanish-language radio partnership covering FIFA World Cup 2026 matches across select network stations in New York, Dallas, Houston, and Chicago — four of the United States' most important Hispanic radio markets. The agreement extends Fútbol de Primera's live match commentary, analysis, and coverage to TelevisaUnivision's flagship Spanish-language radio stations in these cities, representing the largest Spanish-language radio footprint for a World Cup in US history. Three of the four covered markets (New York, Dallas, and Houston) are host-city markets: MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford/New York is home to the July 19 Final; AT&T Stadium in Dallas is the tournament's most-used venue (9 matches, including a semi-final); NRG Stadium in Houston hosts seven matches. The partnership comes as TelevisaUnivision also holds Spanish-language TV broadcast rights, making the company the dominant Spanish-language media partner for the tournament. The announcement comes 34 days before the tournament opener at Estadio Azteca.
