Three Palestine FA Officials Denied Canadian Visas to Attend April 30 FIFA Congress in Vancouver
Three senior Palestine Football Association officials — including PFA president Jibril Rajoub — were denied Canadian visas ahead of the April 30 FIFA Congress in Vancouver, according to CBC Sports, Morocco World News, and Pulse Ghana. The PFA had planned to attend the Congress to formally respond to FIFA's ruling on Israeli settlement clubs. The visa denials prevent Palestinian football leadership from participating in the 76th FIFA Congress, which will also address the Iran World Cup participation question and vote on hosts for the 2031 and 2035 Women's World Cups. The PFA has formally asked FIFA to intervene with Canadian immigration authorities. The incident adds political tension to what is already a contentious Congress agenda, coming 11 days before the Vancouver gathering.
