Trump Invokes IEEPA, Imposes 25% Tariffs on Canada and Mexico

President Trump signed executive orders under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act declaring a national emergency over fentanyl and migration, imposing 25% tariffs on most Canadian and Mexican goods and 10% on Canadian energy exports, effective March 4. It was the first time IEEPA had been used to justify tariffs.
