Mexican Regulators Inspect Taylor Farms Guanajuato Facility, Find No Contamination

| Cyclosporiasis Outbreak

Mexico's food-safety regulator COFEPRIS and agri-food agency SENASICA conduct a sanitary inspection of the Taylor Farms de México processing facility in Guanajuato between July 18–20, with laboratory analyses of lettuce and water samples showing no presence of Cyclospora cayetanensis or fecal coliforms. Mexican officials say the inspection found the company maintains a functioning traceability system, and note that the border shipment that produced FDA's since-retracted positive sample never entered the United States.
