Trump Threatens Canada with 35% Tariff in Letter to PM Mark Carney

Trump sent a letter to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney threatening a 35% tariff on Canadian goods not compliant with USMCA terms, to take effect August 1, in a major escalation of the US-Canada trade dispute. Trump warned that any Canadian retaliatory tariff increase would be added on top of the 35% rate.
