White House Announces Local Ceasefire for Russian-Occupied Oleshky to Allow Aid

The White House said First Lady Melania Trump helped broker a localized pause in fighting around Russian-occupied Oleshky (Kherson region) so humanitarian aid can reach residents and civilians can leave. Ukraine's ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets described the sequence as ceasefire, then aid delivery, then free civilian movement, after demining of access roads. Implementation was described as gradual and difficult.
