Russian Drones Hit Kyiv and Pohreby Village, Six Injured, Warehouses Ablaze

Russia attacked Kyiv and the Kyiv Oblast village of Pohreby, roughly 2 km north of the capital, overnight into August 31 with one Kh-59 cruise missile and 121 long-range attack drones; Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 96, but several evaded and struck 11 locations. Six people were injured, most of them in Pohreby, with three hospitalized in serious condition. Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko confirmed the casualties. Drones damaged warehouses and a retail outlet in the Brovary district and three warehouses and a residential building in the Boryspil district; a large fire broke out at the strike site in Pohreby. The attack marked the fourth consecutive day of sustained Russian bombardment of the Kyiv region.
