Russia's Biggest Strike Yet on Kyiv Kills 22, Zelensky Vows Retaliation

| Ukraine

Russia launched its largest assault on Kyiv to date, firing 74 missiles and 496 drones overnight, hours after Zelensky warned of an impending 'massive' attack. At least 22 people were killed and dozens injured; a nine-story residential building was struck, destroying 64 apartments and leaving a gaping hole across six floors. Zelensky said the attack exposed shortfalls in Western-supplied air defense, asked Washington for a license to domestically produce Patriot interceptors, and vowed retaliation. Kyiv declared a day of mourning.
