Overnight June 5–6, 2026 (Day 1,563), Russia launched 272 Shahed-type kamikaze drones across Ukraine; Ukrainian air defense destroyed 249 of them. Impacts were confirmed at 11 locations. Key strikes included: the port infrastructure in Odessa; the Kryvorizka thermal power plant in Zelenodolsk (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast); the Zaporizhzhia Machine-Building Plant; Zaporizhzhia city, where a drone strike sparked a parking-lot fire and 7 people sought medical care; Sumy region, where guided aerial bombs killed one man; and Dnipropetrovsk region (1 killed, 3 wounded).
