As of May 25, 2026 — Day 1,551 of Russia's full-scale invasion — Ukraine's General Staff reported total Russian combat losses since February 24, 2022 reached approximately 1,356,940 personnel, with approximately 1,020 losses recorded in the May 25 reporting period. Equipment losses on May 25 included 1,924 UAVs and 47 artillery systems. Ukrainian forces recorded 173 combat engagements along the front line on May 25, with the heaviest fighting in the Pokrovsk sector (32 Russian assaults) and the Huliaipole axis. Russian forces advanced in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka area; Ukrainian forces advanced in the Hulyaipole direction.
