Russia Strikes Kharkiv 9-Story Apartment Building on Ceasefire Day 2 — 8 Wounded Including 2 Children
Less than 24 hours into the Trump-brokered 3-day ceasefire, Russia struck a 9-story residential building in Kharkiv's Industrial district with a drone. Kharkiv Gov. Oleh Syniehubov reported 8 civilians wounded, including 2 children. Two 8-year-old boys suffered acute stress reactions. The strike came despite Russia having confirmed participation in the May 9–11 ceasefire announced by President Trump. Ukraine's Air Force intercepted all 27 drones Russia launched overnight from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Millerovo, but the Kharkiv attack used a drone that penetrated air defenses. Across Ukraine, Russia continued combat activity: Russian forces launched ground assaults in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, Kramatorsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions throughout May 10. A 67-year-old civilian was killed in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and a 46-year-old woman was killed in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in separate Russian drone strikes during the declared ceasefire period.
