Ukraine Strikes Ilsky Refinery (Krasnodar) and Leningrad Oblast Energy Facility for Second Night
Ukrainian long-range drones struck Russia's Ilsky oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai on the night of March 26–27, setting it ablaze — the facility processes crude oil for the domestic Russian market and military fuel supply chains. Drones also struck a major energy facility in Leningrad Oblast for the second consecutive night following the March 25 Ust-Luga attack. Additional drone strikes hit targets in Kazan and Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan), causing explosions and disrupting electricity; airports in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Krasnodar, Sochi, and Gelendzhik suspended operations. The Metafrax Enterprise chemical factory in Gubakha, Perm Oblast — linked to industrial explosives manufacturing — was also struck, with witnesses reporting multiple explosions and fire. Ukraine's sustained drone campaign has now extended to 9 different Russian regions in March 2026 alone.
