FBI Called to Probe UAP Whistleblower's Death as Congressional Testimony Looms
Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel urging the Bureau to investigate the May 2024 death of Matthew James Sullivan, a 39-year-old Bronze Star recipient and veteran of classified programs at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), the Air Force Intelligence Agency, and the NSA. Sullivan had agreed to testify before Congress about UAP-related classified programs and was being assisted by whistleblower David Grusch in preparing his testimony when he died of accidental drug intoxication (alcohol, Xanax, cyclobenzaprine, and imipramine) per the Virginia medical examiner. The FBI confirmed it is 'spearheading the effort to look for connections into the missing and deceased scientists' in coordination with DoD and state and local law enforcement. The story resurged in public congressional scrutiny during the active May 20 EO disclosure push, raising questions about the safety of potential UAP whistleblowers.
