Paul Manafort Convicted on 8 Counts of Financial Fraud

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is convicted by a jury in Virginia on eight counts of tax and bank fraud. He later pleads guilty in a separate DC case and cooperates briefly with Mueller before Mueller accuses him of lying. Trump calls Manafort a 'brave man' and repeatedly refuses to rule out a pardon. Trump eventually pardons Manafort in December 2020.
