HIMARS Letter of Offer and Acceptance Deadline Expires
March 26 marks the expiration deadline for Taiwan to sign the letters of offer and acceptance for 82 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, part of the $11 billion US arms package announced in December 2025. Taiwan's parliament unanimously authorized signing on March 13, and Taiwan's government was expected to complete signing before the deadline. Failure to sign would have risked Taiwan losing its place in the HIMARS production and delivery queue. The three other weapons packages — TOW anti-tank missiles, M109A7 howitzers, and Javelin missiles — had earlier deadlines of March 15.
