CFO Discloses $1.11B/Month AI Compute Deal, Says Starship Flight 14 Will Be First Revenue Flight

Speaking Sept 10 at Goldman Sachs' Communacopia and Technology Conference, SpaceX CFO Bret Johnsen disclosed a new AI compute hosting agreement worth about $1.11 billion/month starting Dec 1, 2026 (roughly $13.3 billion annualized) with an unnamed customer — a third such deal following agreements with Anthropic and Google worth a combined ~$26 billion annualized. Johnsen said the new contract strengthens SpaceX's confidence in reaching a $100 billion annual recurring revenue run rate by year-end. He also said Starship's upcoming Flight 14, carrying production Starlink V3 satellites, would be Starship's first revenue-generating flight: 'We've got another flight coming up later this month for Flight 14, which for the CFO is very exciting because it's going to be a revenue-generating flight.' The remarks came the same day as reports that SpaceX is slowing its AI data-center buildout after Colossus power/cooling outages (see companion event).
