SpaceX Backs Down, Keeps Poland in European Starlink Roam Zone

SpaceX confirmed on August 13, 2026 that Poland will remain in the common European Starlink Roam roaming zone — covering more than 30 countries including Germany, France, Italy, and Ukraine's neighbors — reversing an earlier decision to remove it. Polish Digital Affairs Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said 'SpaceX has responded to my request and will not treat Polish customers worse than those in other European countries,' and Starlink's website listed Poland among the included countries as of August 13. The reversal followed pressure from Polish officials, including Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, who had threatened to review Poland's roughly $50 million a year in Starlink spending on terminals supplied to Ukraine.
