NASA Selects SpaceX Starship as Artemis Lunar Lander

NASA awarded SpaceX a $2.89B Human Landing System contract for a Starship-based lunar lander for the Artemis program. The sole-source selection over Blue Origin and Dynetics prompted Blue Origin's protest, a 7-month program suspension, and ultimately Congressional pressure to fund a second provider.
