Demo-2 — First Crewed US Orbital Launch Since Shuttle

NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley launched to ISS aboard Crew Dragon 'Endeavour,' the first crewed orbital launch from US soil since Space Shuttle Atlantis in July 2011. The 62-day mission ended with a Gulf of Mexico splashdown on August 2 — the first US crew water landing since Apollo-Soyuz in 1975. This earned Crew Dragon its NASA human-rating certification.
