On Day 684 of the Sinaloa cartel civil war — June 7, 2026, at approximately 5:30 AM — an unidentified adult male (approximately 35–40 years old, bald, with tattoos on his back) was chased on foot by at least one attacker through the Fraccionamiento Nueva Galicia neighborhood in southern Culiacán and shot multiple times in the head. The victim's sneakers were found abandoned at a distance from the body, indicating he had been forced to flee on foot before being overtaken.
