Drive-By Shooting on Boulevard Madero Kills Two in Culiacán — Bus Passenger Injured by Shrapnel
Two men were killed in a drive-by shooting on Boulevard Francisco I. Madero at the intersection with Venustiano Carranza Avenue in central Culiacán at approximately 5:30 PM on April 10, 2026. The victims were in a white Mazda when gunmen opened fire. One was identified as Christian Manuel 'N', 30 years old, who worked as a nurse; the second victim remained unidentified. A 62-year-old female passenger aboard a public transit bus was struck by shrapnel as collateral damage; her injuries were not life-threatening. State Attorney General's office ballistics investigators collected spent cartridges at the scene. The attack is consistent with ongoing territorial disputes between Chapitos and Mayitos factions in Culiacán city, where both sides continue low-level operations despite La Mayiza's ~90% statewide territorial advantage.
