Day 683 — Sheinbaum Inaugurates New ISSSTE General Hospital in Tampico, 250 Beds

The facility replaces the aging former hospital and will open in phases: phase one adds outpatient care across 35 medical specialties (up from 20) in 37 consultation rooms, plus pharmacy and physical-medicine services; the completed hospital will reach 250 total beds (150 censable, up from 103) and add MRI and hemodialysis capacity the old facility lacked. Officials cited a 2.3-billion-peso investment serving roughly 564,457 ISSSTE beneficiaries in the region.
