Mass Deportations to Mexico Begin Under Trump; ~4,100 in First Week

Within the first week of Trump's return to the presidency, approximately 4,094 people were deported to Mexico. The Sheinbaum government deployed nine border reception centers under the 'México te Abraza' program. By March 3, 2025, Sheinbaum reported receiving 19,663 total deportees, including some non-Mexican nationals redirected from other countries.
