Putin Reshuffles Top Military Command, Creates Dedicated Drone Forces

Putin announced a reshuffle of Russia's top military leadership, appointing Colonel General Denis Lyamin — previously chief of staff of the 'Centre' group of forces in Ukraine — to head the newly formalized Unmanned Systems Forces, a dedicated drone warfare branch. Colonel General Andrei Ivanayev was named commander of the 'Centre' group and Lieutenant General Pyotr Bolgarev commander of the 'East' group, while former Centre commander Valery Solodchuk moved to oversee all military logistics. Putin said the changes were meant to refine the Defense Ministry's structure based on lessons from the war.
