Senate rejects 72-hour delay and removes Peña, 44 votes to 0

The Senate began about 10:43. It rejected Peña's request for 72 more hours (39 against, 2 abstentions), admitted the evidence 41-0, and removed him at about 22:04 for mal desempeño, with 44 in favor and one absent. Senate president Basilio Núñez announced the result.
