Pakistan Military Confirms 42 Killed in Coordinated Balochistan Attacks

| Pakistan

Pakistan's military confirmed that 42 people — 38 security personnel and 4 civilians — were killed in a wave of coordinated militant attacks across multiple Balochistan districts between July 4 and 8, attributed jointly to Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and the Balochistan Liberation Army. Security sources said 54 militants were killed in retaliatory operations over the same period. The toll included the July 7 Ziarat police-post attack and additional strikes on checkpoints and convoys, and became the immediate trigger for the newly launched Operation Shaban counterinsurgency campaign across the province.
