IDF Kills Three More October 7 Perpetrators in Gaza Strikes
The IDF and Shin Bet announced on August 3, 2026 that a series of strikes over the preceding days killed three more Hamas/Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives who took part in the October 7, 2023 massacre. Abdallah Adnan Taha Abu al-Tayf, a member of Hamas's elite Nukhba Force who 'invaded Israel on October 7,' was killed in a strike on Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. In the same wave, Mahmoud Fatair — a Nukhba commander in PIJ's Central Gaza Brigade who infiltrated Israel on October 7 and took part in holding hostage Rom Braslavski, later photographed in PIJ uniform at a November 2023 hostage handover ceremony — was killed in the Deir al-Balah area. Separately, Jalal Sobieh, a commander in Hamas's Daraj-Tuffah Battalion, was killed in a strike on the Shati (Beach) refugee camp in Gaza City. The IDF said all three had been advancing renewed attacks on troops and civilians and were 'eliminated to remove the threat,' part of the ongoing NILI campaign targeting October 7 perpetrators despite the ceasefire. Freed hostage Rom Braslavski said of Fatair's death: 'The IDF has killed another one who destroyed my soul ... You did whatever you wanted, but now you are dying one after the other.'
