Four Haredi Rioters Indicted Over June 3 Attack on Supreme Court Deputy President Sohlberg's Home

On June 14, 2026, Israeli prosecutors indicted four men from Beit Shemesh — Nachman Platnik (20), Abraham Fried (20), Gershon Hanoun (21), and Shimon Atep (41) — over the June 3 Haredi riot at the Alon Shvut home of Supreme Court Deputy President Noam Sohlberg. All four were charged with rioting; Platnik and Fried face additional trespassing-to-commit-a-crime charges. Prosecutors said the defendants were among more than 100 people 'shuttled' by organized buses to the judge's home, where windows were smashed and the entrance vandalized while Sohlberg and his wife were inside.
