Re'im Military Base (HQ) Attacked — Gaza Division Engaged

The Re'im military base, headquarters of the IDF's Gaza Division, was attacked by Hamas fighters who breached the perimeter. The base is adjacent to the Supernova music festival site. Fighting at the base continued for hours, with Hamas fighters and IDF personnel engaging inside the compound. The attack on Southern Command's key headquarters contributed to the breakdown in IDF coordination and delayed the organized military response. Multiple soldiers were killed and some taken hostage.
