Hamas Fighters Breach Gaza Fence at ~29 Points

Simultaneously with the rocket barrage, Hamas and allied militants began breaching the Gaza security fence at approximately 29 locations along a 65 km stretch. Bulldozers destroyed concrete sections of the fence while explosives were used at others. Fighters on motorcycles, pickup trucks, and paragliders crossed en masse. The IDF's remote-monitored fence system was partially blinded by jamming. The Shaldag force's rapid reaction capability was degraded by judicial reform protests that had reduced reserve unit training. An estimated 3,000+ fighters crossed within the first hour.
