MSC Foundation's Ocean Cay Marine Conservation Center Marks One-Year Milestone on Earth Day

The MSC Foundation marked the first anniversary of its Marine Conservation Center at Ocean Cay, MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas on Earth Day, April 22, 2026. In its inaugural year, the center trained more than 20 marine science students, engaged over 17,000 visitors in hands-on ocean education programs, grew over 600 coral fragments in an underwater nursery, and outplanted more than 250 corals to reef restoration sites around Ocean Cay. The facility serves as a model for how commercial maritime operations can directly fund and conduct meaningful marine conservation science and community education at scale.
