Houthis Claim Ballistic Missile Strikes 'Completely Burned' Saudi Military Landing Ship in Red Sea

| Iran Conflict

Yemen's Houthi movement said it targeted a Saudi military landing ship and four escorting patrol boats off the coast of Mokha in the Red Sea, part of the maritime blockade of Saudi Arabia the group declared July 20. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said fighters used 'several ballistic missiles' against the vessels, claiming the landing ship was 'completely burned' and several escort boats sunk or set alight. Saudi Arabia did not confirm the claims and there was no independent verification. The attack follows the collapse of the UN-backed 2022 Red Sea truce after a Saudi airstrike on Sanaa airport's runway on Jul 13 prevented an Iranian delegation's flight from landing.
