Day 111: Mojtaba Khamenei Endorses MOU With Caveat; 47 Killed in Deadliest Lebanon Strikes of the War; IDF Soldier Filin Killed
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a written statement approving the Islamabad MOU but said talks with the US do 'not mean accepting its views.' Separately, Israeli strikes on the outskirts of Nabatieh, Sidon, and Tyre killed at least 47 people and injured 97 — one of the deadliest single days of the Lebanon front — including a drone strike on a car near the Kfartebnit-Arnoun roundabout in Nabatieh and additional strikes on Haddatha in the Tyre district. The IDF also announced Chief Sgt. First Class (res.) Alexander Filin, 29, of Haifa, was killed in combat in southern Lebanon.
