Iran Fires Most Intense Missile Barrage — Palmachim, Ovda Airbases, Shin Bet HQ Targeted
The IRGC launched what it described as its 'most intense operation since the beginning of the war,' deploying some of its most advanced ballistic missiles against Israeli military infrastructure. Targets included Palmachim Airbase south of Tel Aviv (home of Israel's space launch vehicles and strategic weapons), Ovda Airbase in the southern Negev desert (one of Israel's two reserve air force bases), and the Shin Bet (domestic intelligence) headquarters in central Israel. Fifty-eight people were hospitalized in Israel following the attacks. Blasts and sirens were heard in Jerusalem. The Israeli military confirmed it was 'working to intercept incoming launches from Iran.' The barrage followed Iran's previous joint IRGC-Hezbollah operation that struck 50+ Israeli targets on March 12.
