Pentagon Names 7th American Killed — Sgt. Benjamin Pennington

The Pentagon identified Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington, 26, of Glendale, Kentucky, as the seventh U.S. service member killed in the conflict. Pennington died March 8 from wounds sustained March 1 at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia while assigned to the 1st Space Brigade. The six previously confirmed U.S. deaths occurred at a U.S. military installation in Kuwait in the conflict's opening hours.
